I’ve been mostly silent in 2020 since, like many of you, I’ve been occupied by recalibrating in real time to take advantage of the opportunities that chaos offers those who are alive and awake. So, it’s interesting (to me) to look back at what I wrote a year ago, when Covid was just a tiny, irrelevant blip on the radar…and yet, I clearly sensed that we were in for a doozy.
January 6th, 2020: Rehearsals are so 2019. An air siren pierces the invisible world as rare beauties and fantastical beasts come on line, sharpen their weapons, check their communication devices, shop for amazing outfits, and eventually – choose sides. If we can’t “hear” the “signals” or “see” the “signposts” by normal, rational, not too painful means, then, in order for the Universe to get our attention, it’s going to hurt, but you’re going to disengage autopilot, and gather yourself.
So then, Where else would I turn for an IV drip of truth steeped in ancient wisdom and common sense than to my SHAMAN BFF – who sailed through 2020 like geronimo, immune to bullits of all shapes and sizes.

As for Shonagh Home, the love child of Martha Stewart and Terrance McKenna, she “smells a big, fat rat,” and I’ve got to say…as usual, her words are like smelling salts for my brain. Since when does the government HEAL ANYTHING?!?!?
As Shonagh reminds us, you can’t make the blind see, and at the same time, SO MANY PEOPLE are waking up because so much of what has gone down in the last 12 months makes NO SENSE. Are we crazy, conspiracy theorists, Covid deniers? Yeah, no…can we all agree that it’s impossible to really know the truth about this?
it appears to be a highly contagious virus that is deadly predominately to a certain segment of the population: if you’re obese, elderly, and/or already sick – you want no part of it – there i said it. how unamerican is it that i write these words with a teensy bit of fear in my heart because so many smart and educated people i love and respect would be horrified that i believe this and would accuse me of various things…what is bananas to me, is that for the first time in my life, i am seeing censorship first hand…and that fills my heart with a tad of foreboading.
BUT, I’VE GONE THIS FAR SO I WILL SAY THIS: As families are torn apart by the politics of division and a shifty yet lock step narrative, as our most vulnerable die alone and confused, as our children lose vital ground day after day, month after month, as death by any other cause is swept aside, and vast swaths of small businesses close forever…maybe it’s worth asking some questions.
Full disclosure, I live in Washington state and don a mask whenever I enter an establishment, and then wisk it off the moment I leave. As I said to my 19 year old son…”I don’t want you wearing a mask when you ride a bike, for example. I always want you to remember why you’re doing it and if something doesn’t make sense, STOP” Yes, I’m talking to you guy driving by himself in convertible with a mask on.
